READY SET DANCE FOR PRE-SCHOOL STUDENTS
Ready Set Dance is a preschool program specifically designed to introduce students to the world of dance and performance. Designed by some of Australia’s leading Performing Arts schools, it teaches Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Vocal in a stimulating productive environment. The music is written by the same people who have written music for some of our leading television shows. From 3 years of age, this class introduces ballet using the C.S.T.D. Syllabus.
Our Acrobatic program is a skilled program whereby students’ progress though specific skill sets and levels of achievement. Students increase their strength, flexibility and balance. Allstars has an AIRTRAK and students can learn to tumble in a safe environment. We demonstrate our program via a routine which consists of lifts, balances, tricks, stunts and aerials – all choreographed to music.
ACROBATICS EISTEDDFOD CLASSES
Acrobatics Eisteddfod class is a separate class offered for those students who wish to perform at Eisteddfod level, utilising the tricks and skills learnt in the normal class time. Certain criteria must be met to be eligible for our eisteddfod team, please see Eisteddfod Policy and Procedure Hand out. ACROBATIC EISTEDDFOD level is by invitation only.
Cheer is a combination of Jazz Dance and Acrobatics Skill. Routines are created using up-tempo music and can include the use of poms.
CSTD BALLET – TECHNIQUE AND PERFORMANCE
Ballet and Contemporary classes provide the foundation technique for ballet which students then put together in a routine for performance at our end of year concert. From 4 years
CSTD JAZZ EXAM AND TAP EXAM CLASSES
Students may start exam classes from 4 years. It is not compulsory to sit exams at ALLSTARS. The classes are structured, and dances are taught for exam performance and we use dances from the exams to put together a presentation for our end of year concert. The C.S.T.D. examination syllabus is one of the most recognised in Australia, Asia and New Zealand, with the ability to obtain points towards QSA in Queensland. Certificate1- 4 in Dance now being offered in conjunction with CSTD exams. Additional Information is available upon request.
Eisteddfods are when studios come together to compete against each other and are judged on their ability and performance. Routines are taught in all genres of dance including Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Song and Dance and Musical Theatre. Weekly classes combine technique development and create and polish performance routines. Certain criteria must be met to be eligible for our eisteddfod teams, please see Eisteddfod Policy and Procedure Hand out. Students must be committed to practice as the standard is extremely high. Students cannot compete in the competition until they are ready. Additional rehearsals may be held at separate times when required.
JAZZ/HIP HOP AND BREAKDANCE
Students learn the current trends of dance in these classes. From 5 years
Studies in Musical Productions, dialogue, song & dance. Incorporating jazz and tap, stagecraft, safe dance practice, and musical theatre. From 6 years
